{"id":22790,"date":"2022-07-01T08:08:28","date_gmt":"2022-07-01T08:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amcham.mk\/?post_type=news&#038;p=22790"},"modified":"2022-07-04T22:17:39","modified_gmt":"2022-07-04T20:17:39","slug":"drafting-proposals-for-the-law-on-donations-and-sponsorships-in-public-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amcham.mk\/mk\/advocacy-news\/drafting-proposals-for-the-law-on-donations-and-sponsorships-in-public-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Drafting Proposals for the Law on Donations and Sponsorships in Public Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Donations &amp; Sponsorships Taskforce met on May 17, 2022, and June 22, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the two meetings, AmCham Donations &amp; Sponsorship Taskforce representatives reconciled their views on the proposals to improve the Law on donations and sponsorships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Task Force&#8217;s proposals seek to create a more efficient system regarding donations and sponsorships in our country. The ultimate goal is to create conditions to boost corporate sector engagement in donations and sponsorships activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Task Force recommendations are focused on optimizing the procedure for confirmation of whether or not a donation or sponsorship has been used for an activity that is of public interest, entirely modifying the process for VAT reimbursement, and introducing effective tax incentives for the profit tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposals will be submitted and presented to the working group established by the Ministry of Justice, whose task is to prepare the amendments to the Law.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Donations &amp; Sponsorships Taskforce met on May 17, 2022, and June 22, 2022.
