{"id":26214,"date":"2022-09-05T10:16:48","date_gmt":"2022-09-05T08:16:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amcham.mk\/?post_type=news&#038;p=22947"},"modified":"2022-12-15T12:08:35","modified_gmt":"2022-12-15T10:08:35","slug":"empower-her-initiative-collaboration-on-womens-empowerment-gender-equality-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amcham.mk\/mk\/amcham-news\/empower-her-initiative-collaboration-on-womens-empowerment-gender-equality-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaboration on Women\u2019s Empowerment &#038; Gender Equality"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following last year\u2019s US Presidential Election, the government objectives shifted to bring gender equality at the forefront, resulting in the adoption of the first-ever National Gender Strategy to promote women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As one of the most significant pillars supporting this strategy is the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trade.gov\/empower-her\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Empower HER<\/a>&nbsp;initiative, signed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, jointly with AmCham EU and AmChams in Europe (ACE). The goal&nbsp;is to bolster&nbsp;direct involvement of the corporate sector in defining, implementing and promoting specific&nbsp;steps&nbsp;to improve women\u2019s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/amcham.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/signing-empower-her-declaration-amcham-network-in-u.s.-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22949\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the AmCham network, we call on progressive businesses, especially U.S. enterprises as forerunners in diversity and inclusion and to join us in fostering gender equality and women\u2019s empowerment.
