The EU-US summit held on 15 June 2021 marked the beginning of a renewed transatlantic partnership and set a joint agenda for EU-US cooperation in the post-pandemic era. During the summit, the Trade and Technology Council was established as a sustainable mechanism for the EU and the US to engage with each other and build trust. The TTC also represents a platform for both sides to be more forward-looking and shape the global economy’s future direction around the values of democracy, rule of law, open trade and fair competition.
