AmCham Taxation Task Force held its first meeting on June 14, 2022.
The ultimate goal of the Task Force is to contribute to the creation of a modern, stable, and predictable tax framework in North Macedonia.
All members agreed that affirming the Task Force as a reliable partner to the Government by providing support to the decision-makers in shaping the tax policies is the most crucial aspect that should be considered in defining the goals of the Task Force.
The members agreed that the initial step would be to create an Action Plan for the Task Force that would serve as a roadmap to achieve its goals. Concerning the Action plan, the members were familiarized with the short-term and middle-term priorities outlined in the Taxation Chapter of The National Program for Adoption of the Acquis Communautaire (NPAA), including priorities of the Tax System Reform Strategy.
