Steiermarkische Bank und Sparkassen officially bought Ohridska banka for 48 million euros, becoming the owner of 91% of the shares. The bank will be the fourth largest in the country and will hold 14% of the banking market. For the time being, the accounts of the clients of Ohridska banka, as well as the terms of the loans defined by the contracts, will remain unchanged. Both banks will function as separate legal entities. The merger is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2021.
