The red wine “Barovo 2015” won the platinum medal at the International Wine Competition Decanter. According to the rules of the competition, a platinum medal is awarded to wines that score above 95 points graded in separate sessions. A professional jury comprised by 250 renowned wine experts awarded 97 points to “Barovo 2015” making this premium quality wine above all other this-year winners.
Darrel Joseph, a wine critic, author and jury member, considers that the platinum medal for “Barovo” wine represents a true recommendation, that will significantly increase the world-wide recognition and reputation of Macedonian wines.
– Winning a platinum medal in a competition of 17.000 wines from the entire world is an enormous success that shows the exquisite quality of this wine. A small percentage of wines can achieve this award, considering the high and strict criteria of the jury members, said Mr. Joseph.
“Barovo” red wine is a combination of Vranec and Kratoshija, produced in strictly controlled plantations, located in a low populated area with the same name-Barovo, situated at the foot of the mountain Kozuf in Macedonia.
