AmCham North Macedonia launched its Strategic Communication Training Cycle with the first module, “Media and Communication Environment in North Macedonia,”.
The session focused on the changing media and communication landscape and its implications for how organizations engage with their audiences. Participants explored traditional and digital media, social media platforms, audience behavior, and the growing influence of algorithms and content creators on how information reaches and is interpreted by the public.
The training also highlighted the importance of selecting communication channels based on the target audience and communication objectives, rather than using the same approach across platforms. Participants examined how information can evolve from a message and supporting facts into news content and, ultimately, a broader public narrative.
The session emphasized that effective communication is not simply about delivering a message, but about understanding the environment in which it is received, interpreted and given meaning.
The training cycle will continue with practical sessions aimed at strengthening members’ strategic communication skills and supporting more effective engagement with the public and key stakeholders.
This activity is implemented within the framework of the project “Strengthening Advocacy Capacity for Effective Policy Engagement” supported by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), Washington, D.C and implemented by the American Chamber of Commerce in North Macedonia.
