The American Chamber of Commerce in North Macedonia (AmCham) held its 25th General Assembly yesterday, celebrating a significant anniversary – a quarter century of work in supporting the development of the domestic economy, improving the business environment and strengthening partnerships with institutions and the regional business community.
The event was opened by AmCham Executive Director, Jelena Arsovska, who sent a clear message about AmCham’s maturity and position as one of the leading voices of the business community. Ivan Kostic, Chairman of the Board of Directors, delivered a keynote speech, highlighting AmCham’s transformation over the past 25 years, from a business association to a credible reform partner supporting the creation of a fair, transparent and competitive market environment. “This anniversary is a confirmation of the continuity, vision and togetherness with which we are building the economy and community we all desire,” Kostic said, calling on companies to continue to actively contribute to a more competitive and European-oriented business environment. David Myers, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, also delivered a welcome address at the event.
Within the framework of the working part, AmCham members adopted the annual reports, the audit report and confirmed the admission of new member companies.
