IVAN NOVAKOVSKI

Mr. Novakovski is the director of NOVA International Schools, the leading international school in North Macedonia; home to 800 students and 200 staff members from 45 different countries. Mr. Novakovski has performed various roles, from economics teacher to director, in the school for 19 years, taking a two-year sabbatical to fulfill his Fulbright grant at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and obtaining his MBA in international finance. He has worn many hats throughout his school tenure, with his most critical contribution having been the chartering of the school’s strategic course as a regional and international education leader embodying 21st-century best practices.  Before NOVA, Ivan worked in the corporate sector in Washington state in the US, in the fields of hospitality and forestry, and also for his undergraduate alma mater Western Washington University, coordinating the work of the study abroad office.
