EVENT SUMMARY:
Representatives from the Customs Administration, Trade Inspectorate, Ministries of Internal Affairs, Economy, and Finance from our country have joined to more than 90 of their colleagues in Montenegro for the three-day Regional Conference on Combating Illegal Trade.
Many thanks to AmCham Serbia for the provided opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences for innovative solutions in combating illegal trade and explore the potential for further development of interstate collaboration among five countries in the region.
EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT
In cooperation with AmCham Serbia, we are inviting you to attend the Regional Conference on Combating Illegal Trade, which will take place from Monday, October 16th, to Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, at the Lazure Marina & Hotel in Montenegro.
The conference will bring together representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Ministries of Internal Affairs, customs and tax authorities, inspection, and other state services responsible for combating illegal trade and protecting intellectual property rights from five countries in the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
Participants from relevant institutions from our country and their representatives who will take part in the conference, are the following:
- Customs Administration
- Trade Inspectorate of North Macedonia
- Ministry of Internal Affairs
- Ministry of Economy
- Ministry of Finance
- E-Commerce Association
During this event, participants will exchange best practices in enforcing and coordinating oversight of the informal economy, share experiences of public-private cooperation in combating illegal trade, and discuss the potential for further development of interstate collaboration. The topics covered during the conference will include the implementation of a tracking and tracing system for excise products, control over the misuse of intellectual property rights and software piracy, as well as digital payment methods as tools to combat the informal economy.

The Conference fee for all AmChams members is 400 EUR and includes participation at the conference, meals, and field trip. Travel costs and accommodation are not included and should be covered by each participant. Please note that the number of seats is limited.
