AmCham North Macedonia, in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), is launching a Basic ESG Training Module to help local companies take their first steps toward sustainability.
As ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles become increasingly important for market competitiveness, financing opportunities, and integration into global supply chains, this program aims to equip Macedonian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the essential knowledge and tools to begin their ESG journey.
The training will introduce participants to key ESG concepts, drivers, and practical steps for implementation. Topics will include ESG strategies and KPIs, reporting frameworks, and the latest EU sustainability developments, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Taxonomy.
In addition to classroom sessions, the program will feature a site visit to a local company already applying ESG practices—offering participants the chance to see sustainability in action and learn from real-world examples.
The Basic ESG Training will take place second half of November, 2025, with details on the venue to be shared with registered participants.
This initiative is part of AmCham’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the local business community’s ESG awareness and readiness, supporting a more sustainable and competitive economy in North Macedonia.
