As the country advances toward integration into the Single Euro Payments Area, we are organizing a dedicated workshop titled “SEPA Payments – Practical Aspects and Challenges for Companies”, designed to help businesses prepare for the transition. The session will provide a clear overview of what SEPA is and the types of payments it covers (SCT and SDD), the country’s current status and next steps toward accession, as well as the role of banks and institutions in the process. Participants will gain insights into the national regulatory framework and its alignment with EU rules, contractual relationships with banks, cost-sharing principles under the SHA model, and how SEPA compares to traditional international payments. The workshop will also highlight the concrete benefits for companies—faster and more affordable transactions, increased transparency, and improved security—while outlining the key steps businesses should consider as part of their preparation.
