OKTA will once again award scholarships to students for the second cycle of studies at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. Five scholarships will be granted to four faculties at UKIM, for which the company and the University have signed a Memorandum of cooperation, defining the terms and conditions of the scholarships. With this, for a fifth consecutive year, OKTA will provide support to the students at the oldest and largest institution for tertiary education in the country.
„We are especially proud of our commitment as a company, to support young people in their desire and ambition to upgrade their education. The best indication that justifies this commitment is the total average achievement of our scholarship holders who have already completed their postgraduate studies, which is 9.95. In this way, we not only help the individual development of successful students, but more importantly, we directly contribute to the creation of high-quality staff, and thus open new opportunities for community advancement.“, said Vuk Radovic, Chief Executive Officer of OKTA.
Again this year the scholarships are awarded to faculties related to the activity of OKTA. Thus, two scholarships will be given for postgraduates at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies and one per each of the following faculties: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (Institute of Chemistry) and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy. All students who will enroll for the first time in the second cycle of studies at these faculties in the academic year 2021/2022, will have the right to apply.
„We are really pleased that OKTA’s cooperation with our University has become a tradition. The company is a real partner of UKIM in fulfilling our primary mission – to provide students with the best conditions for obtaining the highest quality education. There is no doubt that this type of cooperation between higher educational institutions and the business community brings results and motivates the students to fully invest and dedicate themselves to their education.“, said Nikola Jankulovski, Rector of UKIM.
The Public call for the scholarships awarded by OKTA, with all the necessary details, is published on the company’s website and social media platforms, as well as on the websites of the four faculties. The application deadline is October 4, 2021, when the enrollment period for the second cycle of studies at UKIM ends. The selection of the best applicants will be made by a committee composed of representatives from OKTA and the respective faculty.
The support of education and the new generation is an important pillar of OKTA’s corporate responsibility strategy. This scholarship program that the company actively implements for a fifth consecutive year, encompasses up to now a total of 40 scholarships for the second cycle of studies at UKIM faculties, and 7 scholarships for second cycle studies at the universities of Piraeus and Crete in the Republic Greece.
