AmChams’ BoD President Ms. Maja Filipceva attended the First Annual Conference – “Economic Recovery and Growth beyond Covid”, part of the Skopje Economic and Finance Forum (SEFF), held on September 6 & 7, 2021.
The Skopje Economic and Finance Forum (SEFF) is a new initiative by the Ministry of Finance, aimed to facilitate public policy debates on relevant topics for the Republic of North Macedonia and Southeastern Europe, through annual conferences, occasional seminars, and a policy portal for analyses and commentaries.
The key takeaways from the Forum were mainly aligned with AmCham’s objectives, as the Minister of Finance stressed out that the post-pandemic recovery will mainly depend on three pillars – digital economy, green economy, and equal opportunities for all.
The focus of the Forum was sharing the experiences and views of senior government officials from the country and region, as well as representatives of international financial institutions, on a topic of importance on a regional and global level – Economic Recovery. The participants discussed the importance of shaping future policies and measures aimed at achieving better results, and inclusive, accelerated, and green growth. Therefore, the global and regional perspectives on post-pandemic recovery and growth, good governance and citizen participation, appropriate, timely, and well-targeted support for social inclusion, digitalization, green economy, as well as the formation of human capital, were part of the discussions of this First annual conference.
