The Development Framework MKD 2030 is a non-partisan platform which aims to identify the priority areas that have the fullest potential to accelerate the sustainable development of the country. It will define the framework for the national strategy documents, meaning that these priority areas should be considered and incorporated into the development process of all strategic documents.
The Development Framework MKD2030 has been created in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders, including the chambers of commerce, civic associations, academia, media, and representatives from other various groups and unions. In this consultation process, the stakeholders were asked to share their views on the most imperative issues that need to be addressed to drive the progress of the country. As the Development Framework MKD2030 is in the closing stages, AmCham Executive Director participated in the meeting held on April 27, 2022, uniting key stakeholders to express their final comments about this strategic document.
The creation of the Development Framework MKD2030 is an initiative of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Stevo Pendarovski, whose role it is to unite the key stakeholders and provide a platform for joint action. Indeed, this document will present a foundation for the creation of the National Development Strategy 2040, which will define concrete steps and goals for advancing the identified priority areas. The Government of North Macedonia will have a leading role in the creation of the Strategy, and it was emphasized that stakeholder consultation would be a crucial factor in the creation process.
