Event Summary: As part of the #EmpowerHer initiative during the “Women Green Talks” discussion, on June 16, 2023, AmCham female leaders stressed out the instrumental role of female leaders in promoting the green concept and the importance of collaborative efforts among different female organizations in implementing sustainable economic practices.
Women as more sensitive to environmental changes and therefore more inclined to act on issues related to sustainability, are better skilled as leaders in bringing people together and collaborating towards a common green goal. But to effect meaningful change, female leaders concur that setting a personal example is crucial, as the continuous efforts, utilization of available knowledge, and providing mutual support are imperative for sustainable investments and shaping strategies and solutions that create more sustainable future for all.
The next step on the “Women Green Talks” list, which aims to promote a culture of sustainability that involves everyone, is preparing an action plan for showcasing what each of us can personally do to support the green concept, as well as promoting the best examples women leaders practice in their companies.
