600 Hours Voluntary Work in 6 Days by Johnson Matthey’s Employees

To mark the International Voluntary Day on December 5th, Johnson Matthey’s employees started voluntary work to support the local community. This initiative was carried out by forty-five employees, volunteering for a total of six hundred hours in just six days.

Their voluntary work included cooking meals for marginalized groups of people in cooperation with #retvitni obrok (#ретвитни оброк) and organizing workshops and an inclusive party for the individuals with Down Syndrome supported by Trisomija 21 (Civic Association for support of people with Down syndrome).

All supplies and ingredients necessary for the cooking and workshops were provided by Johnson Matthey as well.

AmCham applauds this amazing initiative and encourages other companies to join the volunteerism culture as one of the most important values of American society.
