On December 3, the ten scholarship winners visited OKTA headquarters and had a fruitful meeting with the CEO, Mr. Ioannis Geroulanos. The students were awarded full scholarships for postgraduate studies at the state “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje. This is the third consecutive year that the company grants scholarships to the students at the oldest University in the country.
These scholarships are awarded for the five faculties at UKIM with study programs that are closely related to the core business of the company. Thus, this year two scholarships were given to each of the following faculties: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Technology & Metallurgy and Faculty of Economy, one scholarship was granted at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics – Institute of Chemistry, while three scholarships were conferred to the selected students on the Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Information Technologies. The scholarships are intended for the second cycle of one-year studies for the 2019/2020 academic year.
Through its socially responsible strategy, OKTA as a company is actively committed to improving the educational process as well as encouraging young people to invest in their education and knowledge. In addition to awarding postgraduate scholarships on the faculties in the country and abroad, OKTA also supports the students through implementation of the regular internship program, as well as by various activities that aim at improving the teaching processes at the faculties.
