Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company through Rosa together with the Ministry of Health will open additional three “Rosa” schools for parents by the end of the year. At the press-conference held today in the Rosa premises in Polyclinic “Jane Sandanski”, also a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Pivara Skopje and the Ministry of Health, which announced the continuation of the project also in 2020 with new Rosa Parenting Schools in other cities in the country.
With this year’s opening of the parenting schools in the PHI Strumica Health Center and the general hospitals in Kumanovo and Ohrid, the future mothers and parents from these cities will have on disposal a professional team who will provide help and support during the pregnancy and the first parenting years. With the opening of the three new schools, total of six Rosa schools will be operating, and by the end of 2020 in the health centers in many cities throughout the country, total of nine Rosa schools for new parents will be fully operating.
At today’s press-conference, the media were addressed by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Health and the General Manager of Pivara Skopje, who expressed their satisfaction for the continuation of the project, but also stressed the importance of this kind of informal training for all future parents.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to announce the continuation of the Rosa Parenting Schools project, with which I believe that Pivara Skopje, as a socially responsible company, is really succeeding in making a step forward and is opening a whole new opportunity for all future parents. Last year we said that our sincere commitment is to continue the life of the Rosa schools also in the following years, so today I can proudly say that this project has truly become a long-term one and by the end of 2020 we will have total of nine ‘Rosa’ schools. I would like to express a big gratitude to the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Health for recognizing our sincere mission to invest in the well-being of all categories of citizens”, said Mr. Dan Timotin, General Manager of Pivara Skopje.
The General Manager Mr. Timotin once again confirmed Pivara’s commitment for supporting to developing the economy through additional investments worth 10 million euros in different areas during 2020.
All premises in the health institutions aimed for the Rosa schools are completely renovated and equipped by Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company with funds raised through a previously conducted six-month campaign in which 1 MK denar was allocated from each sold 1.5 liter Rosa bottle, while in this partnership project, the Ministry of Health determines the health institutions where there is actual need for this type of school for future parents, but also provides the expert teams that will conduct the trainings, consisted of doctors specialists in gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, and medical and patronage nurses.
