AmCham ESG Committee held its first-ever meeting on February 09, 2022, establishing its foundations with our visionary and ESG-driven member companies.
All Committee members supported the endeavors for establishing a committee that will promote and raise awareness for the benefits of the ESG Concept as its primary goal and will work on the readiness of the companies for implementing this concept.
The Committee would also serve as a platform for sharing the best practices in the Environmental, Social, and Governance aspects of AmCham members, aiming to inspire other companies within AmCham and in the entire country.
Finally, the Committee would serve as a proactive platform concerning all relevant directives and regulations of the European Union related to ESG fundamentals, including but not limited to sustainable corporate governance, carbon border tax, etc.
The members agreed that the initial step of the Committee work would be to create content for introducing the concept and presenting it as a tool to the companies that will help improve their business operations and market position.
